My life as I know it has been forever altered. My heart and soul have been ripped from me tragically and unnecessarily and I’m left as an empty vessel curled up in the most intense pain you could ever feel, knowing it will never go away, asking why this would happen and what more could I have done to protect her. Nothing will ever bring back my beautiful, perfect, innocent sweet baby Emme; she paid the ultimate price and did not deserve this. My best friend, my flesh and blood, my heart, my world, my hopes and dreams, just gone in an instant. This gaping hole will never be filled. I will never watch you grow. I’m in shock, total disbelief, complete horror, sickened, and riddled with the feelings of grief so strong it’s unfathomable to think there will ever be a moment of peace or joy again; nor do I want there to be. Emme was my entire world and I wouldn’t have had it any other way. My world is now shattered into an infinite number of shreds that can never be put back together. My life as a mother is forever gone, taken from me in such a way that I’ll never understand how just one tiny action could have kept my baby here on earth by my side and in my arms where she should be. My work is also my passion, and the thought of ever going back to a regular day again is so daunting at the moment. Nothing seems important anymore. So grateful for my company DocuSign supporting me through this time.

Ashley - I am deeply shaken and heartbroken for your loss of beautiful and innocent Emme. I know no words will ever help. But I want you to know you are loved by so many and you are not alone. And that Emme will be forever your guiding star, and light, and always in your heart, watching from above. I pray for you and your family. I am so very sorry.

The one thing we don't want to plan for is the one thing we really should plan for. Quick question: If you died today.......(Not to be morbid but yes, it could happen!)Would people know what to do with your pets?If you have children, who will be responsible for their well-being?Does anyone know where your Will is? Do you even have a Will?Does anyone know what policies you have and who they are with?Bank and investment accounts?Passwords?Any other accounts that would need to be closed?Contact details of family and any other close friends who would need to know you have “exited stage left” and preferably not read about it on social media? What funeral arrangements you want. It's hard enough to deal with the loss of a loved one and all the formalities that need to take place after a death. It's made even worse when that person has put nothing in place, left no information. I know it can be hard to think about our death but it's a reality we all have to face and by just taking a couple of hours to put together the information you can save your loved ones further heartache and distress when the time comes. And even if you live alone and have no next-of-kin, someone is going to have to sort out your "stuff" after your passing. So I wrote an eBook "End-Of-Life-Planning" with all the details you need and you can download it for free here https://bit.ly/34iOYABYou're welcome 😁 #endoflifeplanning #griefguide #deathdoula #journeyofloss

We'd urge you to read this powerful, honest and important account of how to support a colleague through grief - learned first-hand by the author. So much about bereavement is counter-intuitive, with a fear of upsetting the person further often driving people to say nothing, or even avoid them altogether for fear of saying the 'wrong thing'.There are some important, useful lessons here.
